| I'm in the same boat as you (although I believe my rings are burnt out) I'm going to have the valves reground, rering the engine, and replace all the bearings. Total cost to do it myself (except head work) is still well below buying a used TT engine, and I'll basically be back at mile 0 for the engine. Of course, that is after pressure/mag inspecting everything to make sure nothing is cracked.
